Our Story
We are a family of four currently thriving in Central New York state. We love living here because we get to experience all of the four seasons and have access to our family's home and land nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Our family includes my husband, our two amazing kiddos, myself and our now two beloved cats. We love spending time together and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our goal here is to inspire you to cultivate a beauty-full and connected homeschool life based around your own family's unique needs.

We started our blog to share our family adventures, experiences, our ongoing simplicity parenting journey, healthy family recipes, life philosophies and insights, DIY kits, companion studies and offerings with the world. We hope to inspire other families to create a healthy and happy home and get out and explore their own cities and beyond. Our most loved life topics are offering parenting support, our adventures and travels, organic home and gardening and creating and sharing nutritious and delicious recipes, handcraft tutorials & DIY kits for creative and curious kids of all ages.

Our mission is to create a sacred and beauty-full digital space where families can come when they are seeking solace, ideas, inspiration or gentle reminders of how you are enough on your homeschooling journey. We hope our stories, insights, digital Companion printables, resources and products help build your community of support and encouragement and give you what you need to forge through on the path less traveled.

We love to spend our time as a family.
My husband has his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and works for a local engineering firm. He loves his job but when he's not at work he loves to play guitar and sing, work on house projects, play games with our children, go on adventures as a family, sit around a fire in the backyard with friends and/or play music together.
I am an innate creator. I love creating homeschool study companions that instill creativity and curiosity in children who are eager to learn. I also love creating community, sewing, baking, canning, gardening, handcrafting and making sustainable and organic home and garden recipes with my children as part of their whole education. In addition to my many educational homeschool + life offerings I am a self taught freelance graphic designer, NYS licensed massage therapist and breathwork facilitator. I work part time out of my home office as my main focus is to be the best mother and wife I can be for our family. Sharing my gifts of touch and breathwork techniques gives me the opportunity to connect with others outside of my home life and help those in need while also giving me a positive outlet to pursue my passion for offering the healing power of touch and our own breath with family, friends and long time clientele.
Our kiddos, a boy and a girl now ages 10 and 7 have been homeschooled from birth. The first 7 years of being a mother have been the most challenging. Having endured post partum depression, feelings of being alone in motherhood as a natural homeschooling parent who follows the beat of her own drum by choosing to have home births, exclusively breastfeed, baby wear, bed share, and be guided by attachment and simplicity parenting techniques. Now I find myself in a position to create this website and share my breadth of acquired-through-experience knowledge in the hopes that it will uplift, inspire and quite possibly change your life for the better. My children thrive playing outdoors and exploring familiar and new places. They learn and grow through unstructured play and exploration as well as child-led Companion Studies which we create together and share with you.
Our family loves sharing our hobbies and homeschooling adventures with our fellow homeschool friends and with our readers. We hope you find something here that inspires you to Mother or Father with more love, more intention, more parental presence and more courage.
